Annalena Baerbock’s Residence
Being the Minister of Foreign Affairs, it is part of Annalena Baerbock’s profession to travel extensively. But beyond her political activities, she leads a family life.
The 43-year-old lives with her family in the capital of Brandenburg, Potsdam. Baerbock found her personal happiness with Daniel Holefleisch, whom she met during an internship in Brandenburg. They have two children together.
Married since 2007, they share not only family life, but also a passion for green politics. Holefleisch, who was long involved in the communication of the Greens, is now employed as a Senior Expert Corporate Affairs at Deutsche Post DHL Group in Berlin.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs’s Upbringing
Born on December 15, 1980 in Hannover, Baerbock spent her childhood on a farm in Pattensen. Her interest in global events became apparent at an early age. An exchange year took her to the USA before she studied Political Science and Public Law in Hamburg, and later obtained a master’s degree in Public International Law at the London School of Economics.
She began her professional career as a journalist at the “Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung”. Baerbock has been a member of Alliance 90/The Greens since 2005.
